Maya is from Indian origin and British nationality. She was born and brought up in Gibraltar.

She speaks English, French and Spanish and has good notion of German.

I came by art through what I’d say is Divine Organization. That is to say I met Art like one meets love with no expectations… Just being there at the right moment.

I was in Etterbeek Town hall, I had just quit my job, and I saw this “poster” that said “Plastic Arts” and for some reason I just wanted to know … to investigate. I had never drawn, painted or anything like that.

That is why I don’t like people saying they are not gifted.
